INTRODUCTION
How can one heal from anything, let alone severe abuse? In Isaiah 61, we read that we heal through a Person who is the One who is sent to set the captives free and to bind up the broken-hearted. There is only One in the history of human experience who had the power to heal and still does heal. It is the Person of Jesus Christ who heals because He was sinless and atoned for every sin; He alone carries the authority to heal us.
This prayer book is not a collection of formulaic prayers that will automatically bring about healing and deliverance. The prayers are only effective when faith and trust are placed in the One who heals. It is what the Person of Jesus Christ accomplished that makes these prayers powerful and effective for an individual, not just the use of His Name without a personal relationship and faith to believe. Dissociative Identity Disorder and the demonic strong-holds which result from severe abuse and ritual abuse can be ex-tremely complicated and endlessly confusing. Leave that com-plexity to the only One who can heal and redeem such intricacies. As you read through these prayers, do not lose sight of faith in the Person to whom you are praying. He makes simple what is com-plicated and clarifies what is confusing.
ADDRESSING THE TRUE GOD
One of the most important things to remember when beginning prayer is to make sure we are praying to the real God. How do we know we are truly hearing from Him? How do we go about ad-dressing Him?
Satan loves to masquerade as a spirit of light (2 Cor. 11:14). The spirits themselves, or human perpetrators under demonic control, will also try to masquerade as God, Christ or the Holy Spirit. We have found the scripture in 1 John 4:1-4 helpful in counteracting the problem. In this scriptural passage, John tells us that the spir-its will not claim that Christ has come to earth in the flesh. Add-ing this aspect to the prayer will block spirits who attempt to manifest as the Lord. But we still haven’t accounted for human beings who have dressed up like Christ and introduced them-selves at some ritual ceremony as Jesus. In order to solve this problem, we place Jesus in the appropriate historical time frame of having lived His earthly life approximately 2000 years ago. We clarify with the survivor or parts of the survivor that anyone they have ever met who claims to be Jesus is not the true Lord Jesus of the Bible. The real Lord has not yet returned to earth and is very specific about every eye seeing Him as He comes in the clouds of heaven from the east when He returns. The final important distinguishing descriptor is that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who has ever or will ever live a sinless, holy life. This information excludes everyone else.
KEEPING THE CHRISTIAN HOST PRESENT (13)
The next most important thing to remember is to keep the Christian host, or system of parts who comprise the Christian host, in executive control of the body.
Here are some elements to include in prayer to help ensure that God has been given control to keep the host present and has been put in charge of what is consciously remembered. The Christian host must understand that this prayer is not a license to be in control of the healing process but that it is the Lord who is in charge. This might mean that the Lord will bring up parts that the host does not feel ready to meet. The Lord knows the joy capacity of the Christian host better than the host’s own perception. Left up to the host, the host might choose to stay comfortable at times when healing should progress and the host should be meeting more parts or retrieving more memories. The Lord will build joy strength to handle difficult information at the pace He desires for the host
STANDING IN THE GAP FOR OTHER PARTS (17)
Did you know that the Christian host can stand in the gap and re-pent for other parts of the system? There are Biblical precedents for standing in the gap, including many Old Testament prophets who were examples of such. Moses interceded for Israel in the incident of the golden calf. (Exod. 32:1-14) Daniel interceded for Israel both in the current generation and for generational sin, which is a beautiful example of intercessory prayer found in Dan. 9:3-19. Ezekiel 22:30 warns us what happens when no one inter-cedes. God looks for someone to stand in the gap so that He will not have to take action against the land and destroy it, because He desires repentance and wants to have mercy on His people. Jesus is the greatest example of standing in the gap for us “since He ever lives to make intercession for us.” (Heb 8:25)
Dissociative parts are not actually separate people whom God recognizes as having a separate will. Dissociated parts exist in the first place due to limited joy strength and unresolved internal conflicts. Try praying for parts who don’t know the Lord.
What does it mean to stand in the gap? It means to ask for God’s help for those parts who would not ask for it themselves, but it also means repenting for them. What if the host’s parts don’t know what these parts have done and what sins need repentance, because of limited joy strength to handle this information? One of the Old Testament patterns was for the priest to repent for known and unknown sins. The host can offer to repent in general for all sins committed by the entire system until enough joy strength is gained to tolerate knowing specifics which allow for more thorough repentance prayer. How will you know when you are ready to repent for specific sins? Make a habit of asking God daily to show you what He knows you are ready to handle.
DOUBLE BINDS AND MESSIAH ROLES (41)
“No man can by any means redeem his brother or give to God a ransom for him – for the redemption of his soul is costly, and he should cease trying forever…” (Psalm 49:7-8)
Satan tries to take the heart of love that the Lord gave us and turn it against us. We desire to care for and protect those whom we love. When they are threatened, we naturally want to come to their aid. We often suffer on one another’s behalf. But when pre-sented with a choice between two evils (a double bind), one of which is harm to a loved one, we must choose whom we are serv-ing and in whom we are trusting. Survivors are faced with choice after choice like that, frequently being bombarded with double binds. The temptation to choose the “lesser” of the two evils – harm to self – can become overwhelming. A survivor typically gives in, at one point or another, to adopting the role of a “messiah” for the tortured people around her. This produces pride, is an expression of fear, a symptom of unbelief, and a re-bellion against God’s way, which never involves violence, harm or human sacrifice. Taking on a messiah role and thus preempting God’s provision for the circumstance and revealing an opinion of oneself as wiser than God, is a form of self-idolatry and of idola-try of the person whose physical well-being was set above obedi-ence to God’s laws.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given to me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” (Romans 12:2-3) God’s will is pleasing and good and is not in contradiction to His Word

PRAYER FOR DOUBLE BINDS AND MESSIAH ROLES
Heavenly Father (Use “Prayer for Addressing the True God” found on page 12),
Forgive me and all of my parts for ever assuming the role of a “savior” for any other person. I acknowledge that when the en-emy requires a sacrifice of me, I have no power or status with which to justify that sacrifice. Your atoning death was the one and only God-ordained sacrificial death, and the sole basis for the salvation of Your people and for all true spiritual freedom and re-creation experienced on earth.
I cannot choose to save or redeem anyone’s life by controlling my behavior or by denying myself. Forgive me and my parts for hav-ing had such pride. Please expose, in Your timing, all double-binds which have affected me, so that I may confess Your Name and repent of believing that making a choice between two sins could produce anything good. I now rely completely on You when people or my circumstances seem to present me with a dou-ble bind, trusting that You have a third option in mind and a godly way for me to take. Please annul all death pacts and cove-nants any parts of me have made over my loved ones. I give to You all of the people in my life for Your care and keeping.
Thank You, Lord, for Your tender care. Amen.
DUPLICITY PROGRAMMNG (43)
A part caught in the net of duplicity programming will believe that there is no god that is all good (God is duplicitous) and that every person is duplicitous, having both an equally good and an equally evil side. These beliefs are pervasive and are central to an understanding of the survivor’s identity. He is defeated before he begins any attempt to heal or change since he expects any good step to be countered with an equally bad response. At the core of this, usually, there is a splitting of the system of parts into basic good and bad identities, with good and bad behaviors that cancel one another out. This leaves survivors feeling hopeless as they face an endless cycle of progression and regression.
This form of programming can be torn down by building integrity and by praying to the One true God, in whom there is no duplicity, before every move we make. “This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5) Ask Him to tear down the duplicity programming and to make His truth known. Duplicity is similar to a double bind in that it is a no-win situation. But that double bind can be resolved when the survivor comes to God as the only protector and Savior. This can be encouraged by praying for God to reveal Himself to parts caught in duplicity through how He interacts with the Christian host system, the parts that have turned to the non-duplicitous God. They can demonstrate faith in the power and desire on the part of God to protect their loved ones. If they provide a good example of walking in integrity with God and of being assured of His leading, parts that distrust God’s guidance and their ability to hear Him correctly will have the opportunity to see the faithfulness of God and of His work in the life of His children, whom He guides into His purposes and into all truth.
Prayer For Duplicity Programming
Heavenly Father (Use “Prayer for Addressing the True God” found on page 12),
I confess that You are the One true God, in whom there is no du-plicity. I thank You and praise You that in spite of duplicity pro-gramming, there is a faithful remnant in me who know You per-sonally and have come to You as their only protector and Savior – my faithful and trustworthy Father, consistent in all Your ways, righteous and blameless, perfectly just. I pray, for the parts in me that are stuck in duplicity, that You will allow them to watch how You relate to me and to learn about Your character. May I witness to them, as well, by walking with You in integrity. Please tear down the lies about duplicity which my parts believe concerning themselves, other people and You, and make Your truth known to them. Relieve their hopelessness, Lord, and make a way forward in my healing. Do what is necessary to tear down the strongholds of pride and unbelief which stand in the way of fully trusting in Your goodness, in Your guidance and in the gift, through the work of Your Holy Spirit, of spiritual understanding and discern-ment.
Deliver me, Lord, from double-mindedness. I repent of deceit and distrust. I repent of the fear which gives duplicity its power. I invite You, Lord, to show me any ways in which I give in to pre-tense and any areas of my life in which I lack integrity. I also give You permission to point out to me the thoughts I have which re-veal that I expect duplicity everywhere I look; such thoughts are, in themselves, products of the duplicity in my mind.
I lay at Your feet the path and the race which You have purposed for me. I choose to believe that I will see Your goodness while in the land of the living. I confess that there is one truth and one way to You and one intent in Your mind for Your children: You desire to give us good things. Do not let me allow the behavior of du-plicitous persons or the repetition of deceptive and disappointing circumstances to color my view of You or of the nature of Your creation. Please dismantle the duplicity programming which took hold of my mind and heart. Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
I thank You for who You are. Amen.
MEMORY WORK (55)
When trauma occurs, the more intense it is and the longer it lasts and the younger the victim, the more devastating the impact will be. With ritual abuse, all of these factors typically affect the survivor, and much of their lives can be dissociated and handled by numerous alter personalities or parts of self. The memory work can be a long and cumbersome process. If sophisticated mind control techniques have been introduced through trauma, which is also common in ritual abuse, the memory work is even more difficult. Why do it? Resolution of the past adds a new foundation for life. The truth really does set us free. Confessed sin and freedom from past fears and bondages is well worth the journey. The Lord matures us on this journey and strengthens our faith in Him. We end up far more equipped to live life – the kind of life He in-tended.
Joy strength, which is the capacity to retain and resolve traumatic information on a conscious level of the brain, is very important to consider. It is not the information from which we need to heal; it is the emotional impact from the information that needs healing. If we don’t know how to handle even simple emotions, how will we handle the intense, complex emotions that will surely assault us when traumatic memories emerge into consciousness? When memories are purposefully rushed, the brain will not have the ca-pacity to maintain the information and the host will dissociate the information or switch to other personalities in order to handle the impact of the information. Overall functioning often decreases, and an increase in self-abuse and/or suicidal impulses can invade the work. These are signs of overwhelm, and the memory work should slow down or cease until more maturity and joy strength are developed in the Christian host. Nevertheless, there are prayers to help when extremes occur, such as flooding of memo-ries, or when memories are stuck or prematurely halted due to mind control.

Prayer for Memory Work
Heavenly Father (Use “Prayer for Addressing the True God” found on page 12)
I give You authority over all memories. I ask that You remove all demonic out of the memories and not allow them to enhance or to use traumatic memories to reinforce their agendas, to control parts or to perpetuate false beliefs in the system. Lord, please bind the demonic, expose their works and defeat all of their strong-holds in Your timing. According to my joy capacity, which You are daily building in me, bring the memories and information You know I am ready for at the pace which You desire.
Lord, I ask that You would not allow any parts of me to control the flow of memories to flood and overwhelm, to keep secrets and close the work down, or to keep parts in a perpetual state of trau-matic re-living of memories. I repent of all false beliefs that the enemy has the power to keep parts stuck in trauma throughout infinity (the enemy’s version of eternity), and I repent of all infin-ity vows and agreements that I or any part of me have made with the enemy. I ask You, Lord, to move the memory in space and time to its end, and thus reorient parts to know that the memory is over and that they are free. Please remove all false beliefs and false identities that would keep parts bound in a state of traumatic re-living. Lord, please hold the flow of information between parts that might prematurely connect, moving the memory past the place of being stuck. I give no permission for any part or demon to select memories I am not ready for and use them to trigger overwhelming fear or as threats or reminders of viewed loyalty. If this has already happened, I ask You to take authority over all exposed information and turn it around against the enemy and use it for Your good. (For Example, expose any lies in the threats and bring freedom to parts held in bondage by fear. I cancel all oaths, vows, covenants and agreements of any kind for any of these things to continue against my will or what God intends for me. I renounce mentally going blank. Lord, I give You all internal structures such as walls, doors, locked doors, combinations, vaults, computers and any other types of demonic illusions of structures. I give You authority over these structures and permission to reveal what memories, parts, emotions and conflicts are contained by them, in Your perfect timing. I ask You to forgive and cancel any other types of agreements giving authority to the demonic or parts to keep control over memories and information. I renounce all vows not to see, hear, know, understand or tell about events from my past. I invite You to dismantle all protections which are built into my system against the uncovering and healing of memories. I trust You to hold the information and to reveal it in Your timing ac-cording to my joy capacity. I renounce any concessions that I, or any part of me, have made for retaliation upon breaking these agreements.
Lord, I ask that You would show me the difference between what is truth, what is fantasy and what is a dream. (Sometimes memo-ries are intertwined at night with dreams while sleeping, and memories are dismissed as nothing but a dream.) Lord, I trust You to bring confirmation to me over time of the things in my memories that are true. I give up the right to understand or label this information until I understand it and label it from Your per-spective and truth. (In mind control, some parts might have the job to fabricate lies so that all of the information will be thrown out as false. When these parts are actively fabricating, there is usually a mixture of truth thrown in with the fabrication.) I re-lease all parts from jobs of fabricating information and I ask the Lord to sort out truth and expose all lies. I renounce any false be-liefs that the mind control is so ingrained that I will never know the truth. Lord, You are able to sort it out, as You are the source of all truth and nothing is too difficult for You.
Thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen
BASIC ESSENTIAL MORNING AND EVENING PRAYERS (63)
These Basic daily prayers are critically important for maintaining and progressing healing. Establishing a discipline for daily prayer can make the difference between winning and losing daily battles with the enemy. It can greatly reduce warfare and bring help and hope to parts who are otherwise hopeless, fearful, and caught in a state of trauma.
This is a short list of the essential elements. Find the necessary elements from other prayers contained in this booklet and add them according to your individual needs.
Basic Essential Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus, who was born in the flesh approximately 2000 years ago, led a sinless, holy life, suffered and died on the cross and rose again to life to conquer our sin and death. It is to You and You alone that I pray. When I use Your proper titles (Lord, God, Jesus, etc.), I am referring only to You as defined in this prayer. I ask that You would protect against all imposters and purify all concepts and internal images of You in my system. I give no permission to in-ternal parts to call on anyone but You or to answer prayer as one who has taken on a role as an internal god, christ or holy spirit. Please expose and remove from my parts all false internal identi-ties of You in your timing. I ask You, Lord, to take authority over all demonic and to bind, expose and defeat their works. Please stand between all parts. Minister to those who need it and protect all parts and me from any retaliation from other parts and the enemy.
Please bring up the Christian host system and any other parts that you desire to hear this prayer. I give You authority over all switching today. Show me when switching, unconscious trigger-ing or self programming occur. Teach my parts that they need not handle things in my life which they handled in the past in order to survive neglect or abuse. I give no permission for any part to as-sume unauthorized control of the body for any purpose against Your will. Give strength to the Christian host system.
I relinquish the right to decide for myself what I can handle today, and instead I trust You not to overwhelm me. According to my joy capacity, which You are daily building in me, bring memories and information to me at the pace for which You know I am ready. Please remove all demonic out of the memories and do not allow them to enhance or to use traumatic memories to accom-plish their agendas.
Please minister to my parts according to Your perfect will and timing. Make me aware when they need anything from me. Teach me how to pray for them. Reveal to my parts the truth of who You are and of Your mercy and love. I stand in the gap and re-pent, on my own behalf and on behalf of all of my parts, for any fear, unbelief, pride or rebellion. Please bind all demonic, all rul-ing and shared spirits, for me and for my parts.
I ask for Your mercy when any part of me harbors un-forgiveness. I confess that since You have forgiven and accepted me, I am commanded to forgive and accept not only the persons who have hurt me, but also myself and all of my parts, regardless of what was done. I choose to accept Your forgiveness, and I am eternally grateful.
I ask You to care for all of my needs and to bring resources for healing into my life. Please build my joy strength and my capacity to rest. Bring to me relationships which are loving and joy-giving. Teach me how to quiet myself. I repent to any ways in which I have assumed control and tried self-sufficiently to supply for my my own needs. Forgive me when I lean on my own understanding.
Lord show me anything within my system in Your timing that stands in the way of Your perfect peace. I give You permission to show me today about any parts with false identity . Please reveal to me when there is internal conflict and direct me in discerning any sin patterns and any truths which would speak to the distress. I invite You to convict me whenever I act or think in contradiction to Your will. I thank You and I praise You for this day. May I glorify You in everything I do. Amen

Help me to distinguish dream from reality, from fantasy, and from memory. I give You control over my dreams. I pray for restful sleep.
