i am a warrior
stealing through the night
trembling, shaking, crying...
savagely beating nightmares to death
within my mind
i awaken in a drenching sweat, shivering cold
1 - 2 - 3 o'clock in the morning
praying to find sleep with peace attached
yet night seems to have won.....once again!
i beg for the daybreak to appear...
finally!!!.....
daylight breaks through night time darkness
i beg...because the night holds cups of fear....
one day i pray to conquer the night
to the warrior child who lays the sword down
to sleep as deeply with peace beside me...
just as you do.....
i will vow to give way to death...
using gleaming knives
to kill the nightmares
that consume my mind....
my breathing....
my spirit....
my body......
