one at a time
is how He answers
one at a time.....
one day, is all He asks us to live through right now
one sunrise
one cup of coffee
one new song
one friendly voice
one open heart
one good meal
one set of clean clothes
one day of no yelling
a comb to comb hair
a friendly dog or cat to sit with
perhaps a child's laughter to gladden the heart.....heard out the window as they skip a rope
or play in a school yard

and one more sunset
one more peaceful evening, new to us
and one more night of sleep, be it restless for now

cause one day
there will be many of these
beautiful sunrises
new beginnings
blessed days
glorious sunsets
and restful peaceful nights
safe from harm

it will happen
His miracles never cease
day unto day
ever ceaseless, without end
tides and times of life come and go
but His love never fails
and healing will come
and pain will ease
don't give up
He doesn't
