I see how you suffered
I know how you cried
with silent tears
on the inside

with tears in my eyes
I see your renewal
your faith in the unknown
and I am touched
within my being
by your love and compassion
by your faith in God

with tears in my eyes
I am finally free
to grieve
to mourn
to rejoice

with tears in my eyes
I finally see
my tears will not bring pain
so I cry because I can
because He loves me
because I feel the love
for the first time
not just in my mind
but in my heart

awesome tears
for you
for me
for all of us
and for Jesus
because He had tears
in His eyes
for me.
