seeking peace
such an elusive concept
it so easily becomes absorbed
by busy-ness
  confusion
     fear

seeking peace
through all the loud noises
and all the loud voices
inside
    and out

seeking peace
knowing the promise
but struggling to hold it
and keep it in a treasured place
   in our heart
       unscathed by the storms around us
