In His care

I am
every day
all day
in every way
he sees me
he knows me
he loves me
no one yells at me now
no one hurts me now
and though I still fear the world
and much that is in it
I am learning
in baby steps
one at a time
that there is trust in this life
and I have someone to love
who loves me
and a safe place to live
and flowers
and sunshine
and a friend horse
and my painting
and poems
and sewing
and all the things only parts of us could do before
now I can do
and I am complete in Him
and it is finally here
and with the years I have left,
I will enjoy this life
and I will not let the past discolor it any longer
or pull me into its pits
I am free
free indeed!
